Description: Best One Yet is looking for coverage in select Denver farmers markets for our ice cream sandwich tent set-up on Saturdays at City Park Farmers Market
We are back at City Park Farmers Market for 2026! This is a big opportunity for someone to build trust, customer service skills and grow within our company. This position is available throughout our peak market season, May 2nd through October 31st! Schedule is regular but flexible with required commitment only 1 times per week! Works well with other existing jobs and schedules, a great way to make extra cash for the summer, saving, and more.
Compensation: This is a PT/temporary W-2 position starting at $19.29-21.29/hour DOE PLUS ALL MARKET TIPS (additional $5-10/hour) with incremental raises and room for growth. Benefits and details: Paid family leave, accrued PTO, 401K plans with 4% employer match, and flexible scheduling
Saturday markets are from 8AM-1PM. With set-up and break-down in mind as well as transportation to and from our Denver storage location, your hours can vary from 6AM-3PM depending on set-up, break-down, travel time, etc. This is mainly up to your discretion and set-up/break-down times! Most people get faster as the season progresses.
The ideal candidate will:
Have seasonal market experience/have worked in a farmers market setting before
Be familiar with the set-up/tear-down aspect of a farmers market setting
Be familiar with the community aspect of a farmers market
Have 1+ years experience in customer service (ideally in the food service industry, but all experience will be considered!)
Be in or nearby the Denver metro area
Be a morning person (I know!)
Value reliability and upholding their commitments
Be conscientious, creative, a good listener, adaptive and calm under pressure
Adaptable and can make the most of being outside in all elements (markets run from May-October, so this can vary quite a bit in CO!)
Have excellent communication skills
Have superior time management skills
Have impeccable standards of honesty
Be community oriented and can work well with others
Work well individually (does not require overseeing in order to be productive, on time or reliable)
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (please be aware that market set-up/break-down can be labor intensive)
Be able to work quickly and efficiently
Have dependable transportation that can carry all market supplies (for reference, I could fit all our weekly market supplies in my 2010 Honda Fit, may she rest, so a small SUV, hatchback, van, truck or something similar will likely work for this role—if you aren’t sure, please reach out and ask!)
As a bonus, have a true love of (vegan!) ice cream!
What if you don’t have all of these requirements? Only some of them? I would still love to meet you and hear why you think you are a good fit for this role. The right person for the job can still be trained and primed for success within our team. We are looking for someone who is committed, reliable and conscientious above all else. While experience is preferred, initial training and regular re-trainings are a standard part of our business practices.
If you’re interested in this role, please send your resume and two professional references to hi@bestoneyetvegan.com. Please include “Hire me! (MARKET)” in the subject line. Applications without all of these elements will not be considered.
